We stayed at Equinoccio Hotel for 4 nights and booked the lake-view room. Absolutely worth it. Waking up to the sunrise over the peaceful waters of Lake Coatepeque was unforgettable. We traveled with our 3 year-old, who loved both the food and the pool. A great perk is that kayaks are included for guests. The hotel is conveniently close to the hot springs, we paddled there, about a 15 minute ride with our toddler in the kayak. Such a unique experience! The staff made our stay even better. Everyone was kind, attentive, and clearly took pride in the hotel. We especially appreciated seeing the maintenance staff out early in the morning keeping the pool spotless. Overall, we came to relax, and that's exactly what we did. Beautiful views, wonderful staff, family-friendly activities, and a peaceful vibe — highly recommend!

We visited this place with my husband and parents, and the experience was excellent. The lakeside setting is beautiful, but what really surprised us was the quality of the food. We tried minutas during the day (I ordered a mango twist) and at night we enjoyed a delicious dinner. The churrasco and the fried fish were our favorites. We also used the jet ski to explore the lake. They have a variety of drinks and coffee. I highly recommend this place, especially to those who love good food!
